Extended therapy sessions are a thoughtful investment in your own well-being—a decision to give yourself the time, space, and attention that meaningful change often requires.
Each extended session option reflects approximately 6 to 12 hours of your therapist’s dedicated time, thoughtfully structured around your needs and goals.
Insurance is not accepted for extended therapy sessions. If you prefer to use insurance benefits, please consider connecting with an in-network provider for traditional weekly therapy sessions.
Extended Therapy Session Options
The Difference Between Traditional Therapy and an Extended Session
Finding a rhythm that works for you.
Instead of being shaped by weekly time limits, extended sessions offer the time and focus for healing to happen.
Traditional Weekly Therapy
You have weekly sessions that take place over weeks or months, giving you CONSISTENT and STEADY SUPPORT.
Your progress happens in small increments and may feel slow at times.
You experience STEADY GROWTH overall and long-term support.
You have 45-60 minutes each session to process your thoughts and feelings and practice new skills with your therapist.
Extended Therapy
You STAY CONNECTED to your emotions without having to pause mid-process.
You GO DEEPER without having to start over each week.
You have the time to FOLLOW PATTERNS AND INSIGHTS as they naturally unfold.
You experience CONTINUITY that supports real emotional movement.
You get the benefit of your therapist being FULLY FOCUSED ON YOU.
You have the FLEXIBILITY to work on you when you need it most.
What Does An Extended Session Look Like?
Extended sessions are designed as packages, including:
The Initial Consultation - We meet via video call for 30 minutes. We discuss your overall therapeutic needs and answer your questions. There is no charge for an initial consultation. If you decide to move forward with an extended session package, we discuss scheduling, payment, and next steps. After scheduling your extended session, you’ll receive intake forms to complete.
Pre-Session - We meet via video call for 90 minutes, with a built-in break after 40 minutes. This time is to review your intake forms and to discuss and clarify your goals for your extended session. During the Pre-Session, we will begin to practice together emotional regulation exercises, including breathwork and grounding.
The Extended Session - Depending on which package you choose, the extended session will take place via video call for 3 or 4 hours, over 1 or 2 consecutive days. We continue practicing the emotional regulation exercises and focus on working toward your goals for the session. Each extended session is structured to include a 30-minute break at the half-way mark and shorter breaks throughout as needed.
The Post-Session - We meet via video call for 60 minutes, approximately 2 weeks after your final extended session. This session is to ensure you have been able to integrate your newfound clarity and skills into your daily life and routine.
What Can an Extended Therapy Session Do For You?
Interrupt behavior patterns. When anxious overthinking keeps returning week after week, and you want enough time in one setting to actually interrupt the cycle.
Allow more time to thoroughly process. When you’re in the middle of a life transition that feels overwhelming or uncertain, and weekly sessions don’t feel like enough space to sort through everything that’s happening.
Accelerate progress. When you’re navigating OCD—intrusive thoughts and compulsions—and want more focused, extended time to deepen and accelerate the progress you’re already making in weekly therapy.
Create solid change. When self-doubt keeps affecting your decisions, relationships, or how you show up, and you want enough and you want dedicated time to understand how to change the pattern.
